Can anyone please help me to solve the following:

The first clue is an event in Scottish History which took place in the year 1700. The answer contains 5 words and the initial letters of the words are: C, B, A, R & B (don't know how many letters are in each word).

The second clue is a Scottish Song with the number 42 in the title. The answer contains 2 words and the initial letters of the words are: T & G followed by the number 42. Again, have no idea how many letters are in each word.

Any help much appreciated!!

Thank You.
