I still can't think of an answer for 48. the reference to felt safe made me first think of refuge but it doesn't explain the Garys. Maybe Gary= Gaz but Gas station can't be right. Maybe to dow ith faous garys- Player, Barlow, Numan, lineker, Glitter, Pallister, neville, Oldman, Cooper, Speed (maybe something in Speed)

Pulse 876 I can understand owl lady asking for help I am no very good at cryptic clues but I have a sister able to help. Although I think this will be my last try at this quiz as either number of words or number of letters for the clue would help and then perhaps no the so many questions asked on here.
