Thanks bookbinder, but unless there’s a mistake in the quiz, France is already a definite answer. The quizmaster has made mistakes before admittedly. Im still stuck for anything else though.

well done mally. I am not sure where the A comes from but maybe clue says " a pole back", and I'm not sure where the While fits in- but your answer is almost certainly right
