16. Seen as marches
16 Marshes and Marches are two different things - I don't like this answer!
MARCHes is better
Calibax - I don't understand - March is the seasonal word - but where does the Welsh border come in
March and Marsh are not sound alikes!
Marches works fine.

//The Welsh Marches (Welsh: Y Mers) is an imprecisely defined area along the border between England and Wales in the United Kingdom. The precise meaning of the term has varied at different periods.//
Nice one Bows. Have never heard of it before so googled Welsh Marches. 'The Welsh Marches is an imprecisely defined area along the border between England and Wales'.
JJ who put marshes?
My apologies to all
Cashier - I don't know that anyone did. It was probably a "mondegreen" a mishearing of Welsh Marshes for Welsh Marches when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I have always known them as Welsh Marshes, so it is good to be enlightened!
70. Thinking this could be jugged hare - pour from a jug???
86. Georgie Porgie - thinking of St.George ??
What do you think to these answers?
86 I thought of Georgie Porgie, but thought it was tentative at best so didn't put it. I now think there can't be anything else, so well done.
