Hi everybody, really struggling with this one so any help at all is really appreciated, as usual thanks in advance. All answers are the names of Songs, Films or Dances. For example Tread a straight measure (4,5) D = Line Dance, I sure can cancan at this crimson windmill (6,5) F = Moulin Rouge and Her Majesty takes to the floor (7,5) S = Dancing Queen. So here goes

No.8 S'just wan big pond (4,4) F
No.9 A dime a bop (3,5,1,5) S last word is dance
No.12 Anyone will do (1,5,5,4,8) S
No.15 I do wanna live forever (4) F
No 20 Certainly not a sleeping policewoman (6',3) S
No 21 55,000 miles of summer in a Jar (5) F
No.28 as it happens, lucky for you, let's shake a leg 'cos (1'1,2,1,7,4) S
No.29 A very odd small public house (5) D
No.30 Don't sit down for this one (4,2) F
No.33 Saucy swinging (6,8) S
No.34 You so want to do this just because (3,4,6,6,5,3'2,7) S
No.35 A Martinet at the Palais (8,8) F
No.41 Conman? Tinman? European? or just a bit mad with partial dentures? (3,11) S
No.45 Definitive mischievous little flutey article (3,9) S
No 50 A nightime fling (9) S
No52 I call my love the girl who does this- and boy, does she sparkle (7,5) S
No 58 By jove, by jing, by the king of waltzes is the thing (2,7) S

Sorry for such a long list, but I'm completely baffled

Thanks scorpiojo,
No.34 The best things happen while you're dancing
of course, thanks for defuddling me. The Best Things it is.
there's this, but I can't really see anything about the police in it (I don't think Sting had anything to do with it)

..and there's a song called Dancin' Man...but again no ref to the police
There's one called Ramblin' Man but can't see any connection either
Ramblin' is 7 anyway
I keep thinking of this but it has a THE in front of 3,6
That's probably the only Slade song I have never liked- it's "far far away" their worst
Can't find a Bumpin'/Jumpin'/Dancin' Cop song either.
Ladies' Man (Hank Snow)?
Yes, Ladies' Man fits the pattern- but I think answers have to be dance related. And the policewoman reference is still an issue.
A policewoman could be a WPC but there is no song title about WPCs- are there any other terms?
No.41 Conman? Tinman? European? or just a bit mad with partial dentures? (3,11) Song

I'm sure your The Con Tin (m)ENTAL is right, scorpiojo... but where does the "with partial dentures" fit in- or is it (d)ENTAL?
Either
very iffy Maggie may....wake up Maggie .....Maggie oliver was a former greater Manchester police .
It seems to need an apostrophe though mally. I wondered about Bobby's xxx but the apostrophe would be in the wrong place. I think a contraction is more likely (dancin'/ jumpin' ...)
.. humpin', bumpin', rockin'....
Ah, I came home from work hoping we might have an answer for the remaining ones :

No 20 Certainly not a sleeping policewoman (6',3) Song

No.34 You so want to do this just because (3,4,6,6,5,3'2,7) Song

34 has been answered:

No.34 The best things happen while you're dancing
of course, yes. It's the
"Certainly not a sleeping policewoman (6',3) (SONG)
one that I'm still puzzling over
I wonder why the setter went for policewoman rather than policeman
Have you finished this now puzzld as there have been no further suggestions or comments since last week?
