Does anyone know why it's called Nevada (snowy?)
It seems a very hot, desert like place, what I've seen on the telly of it.

Nevada gets its name from the Sierra Nevada mountain range, which it shares with California. "Nevada" is a Spanish word, meaning "snow-covered." The state was given this name because of its high mountain ranges where there is sometimes snow all year-round. Capital: Carson City, Nevada

How are you, jo. OK. xx

Thanks, Till. I saw the Sierra Nevada mountains were in California, didn't know they were in Nevada as well. Another place you wouldn't expect snow (Cali) x
I'm well, thank you. How are you? xx

Super, ta. I'd better give Tilly best answer as you had 2 x's, jo. ;)
Lol ;0) x
I'm fine as well, thank you.
We were once in Palm Springs and went on a cable car ride to the top of San Jacinto Peak. By the time we got there, it was snowing heavily. So, we left brilliant sunshine and heat and ended up in coats and hats and boots. We were warned beforehand.

Thanks for the BA. x

Funnily enough, that happened to me as well, Tilly. As I walked up Snowdon, it was boiling so I was shedding my clothes. When I got to the top it was freezing and I was practically naked.
I should have lashed out on the choo-choo.
I bet you came down on the choo-choo.
Question Author
I wish. I had to go and find all my clothes again.
:0))
Same up the Troodos Mountains. Skiing in the morning and drive down for a warm dip in the Med later.
