Stuck on three and would really appreciate some help:

13a Cat did not start to jump O---E (can't get oggie out of my head and I don't know why!!!)

27a Eccentric about to be dismissed first O-T-E

8d convertible phaetons' mode of transport -O---O-E (assume it's an anagram of phaetons but can only think of stanhope and that is clouding my thoughts!!)

Many thanks

Thank you also jan1956, snuck in whilst I was posting a relpy.

Orly, I think that's where my mind was going with (m)oggie!! I may well have got a letter wrong knowing me but stahope certainly fits in with the 'n' of ounce now!:-)

Not sure how m(oggie) fits the clue - go with OUNCE and STANHOPE - both fit the clues perfectly.

Thank you biley - I am probably being totally stupid but I don't understand why the answer is stanhope, could you elucidate please. Is it a type of transport?
