I hope that I have been of some help, Neveracrossword. I had a go at this one for quite some time, but I could not solve it!

1. Cathedral city: Inverness.
2. Military architecture: Fort George. Mightiest artillery fortification in Britain.
3. Built after Battle of Culloden (16th April, 1746).
4. Town made famous by dispute over pay cut: Invergordon (on Cromarty Firth). Sep. 1931: half of Royal Navy on strike over 25% pay cut.
5. Twice-daily event. Dolphin watching. Dolphins are visible on incoming tide (which happens 2x per day).
6. Grey coats, podding. Bottlenose dolphins are grey or brown, and gather in pods.
