How Does One Acquire The Nickname "Camel"?

A lady of means has told me that she gained the nickname "camel" when a young girl at boarding school and has challenged me to attempt to work just why she should have become so known.
I realise this is a rather whimsical question but thought someone might have a pertinent or amusing reason as to how this may have come about.

she was water monitor ( I know they store fat but it is said they carried water in their hump )
