I'm well, but a bit apprehensive ....having my left parotid gland removed on Wednesday, trying to head off any trouble down the track, but the idea of two plus hours under anaesthetic gives me some concern ...like how many brain cells will i have left :((

Tony - you're not reading too clearly ...you had White Wash, along with a few others, no Gold Crests though, but I'm still checking

I did think about using Moonstone, I remember reading a book of that title many years ago ( a horror story ) I think that's what put me off using it.

I hope the op goes well, Steff. I've just been reading up about it. ( https://www.hey.nhs.uk/patient-leaflet/removal-parotid-gland ). You can tell everyone that it's a duelling scar that you've got ;-)

I'm feeling remarkably well, thank you. I've got my 9th chemo session coming up on Thursday, with the final one (I hope) three weeks later. The actual chemo sessions are an absolute doddle, just sitting in a comfy chair in a nice lounge, drinking the free coffee and reading a magazine. I've got used to the side effects afterwards by now, so they're not too bad either.

Tony - Moonstone by Wilkie Collins ? I loved it, still drag it out on occasions, the 'first' detective story, so they say !!

Chris - I have a very good specialist and anaesthetist so it really should be fine, but ...... Plus I'll be separated from my darling Ziggi for a few days and we'll both hate that :((
I'm glad your chemo is going well, as you say the side effects are pretty grim, but hang in there xx
