Kaishe, I understand what you mean, but it's not a castle on the list mentioned by the quizsetter. It's a part of a castle, so I don't see how it can be the answer.

Hi, well I put it into google and it came up with an answer that it’s a fortification at the perimeter of a castle and I couldn’t find another answer! Apologies if it’s wrong. Shepkai5

I agree with the meaning of the word, but all the other answers are on the list mentioned in the quiz and are names of actual castles.
