Sorry, emmie, but Geevo was right. Oozing is just a bit too far from pouring, whereas ewers were made to do exactly that. (OTOH, I'd heard of the Yorkshire Ouse but had to look up the Ure.)

Ewer fits quite easily as there a only a few 4-letter possibilities and the two Es gives it away.
