Places names in Britain which contain the name of a British river. I am looking for clues for Q20. Change the direction for a point in tree, plus a valley (8). I have an answer but not too confident about it so any help would be appreciated

There is a village (I believe has been swallowed up by Telford) in Shropshire that fits the bill!

There is only one direction in "tree" - swap it for a point and add a 4 letter word for valley. The river is on the border of England and Scotland

That is of course assuming the village I am describing is what the compiler seeks!

Thanks for all the helpful advice but I think I will stick with my original answer. Tweeddale has too many letters, unless the compiler has spelt it wrongly with only one d. Appreciate all your assistance, thank you
