14 - assuming they mean the four faces other than the face that is on the top.

..and that is because opposite faces of the dice add up to7...6/1 5/2 4/3 and in your question (not including the top face ) there are two sets of opposing faces visible...........

BTW .Dice is really the plural of Die...though modern usage permits either....just thought I'd mention it...<G>
