I wonder how many of you have tried Wordle today, I'm not an every day Wordle'r and today is perhaps my first attempt since the Yanks bought it. Not impressed!!!
Thanks danny, didn't know about Wordmaster and you don't have to wait for the next word.
Got it on the fourth try barry, but only because there wasn't an ENGLISH word that would fit the pattern I had.
They do need to give language options, it shouldn't be difficult but US spellings are given as variants in a lot of English dictionaries such as my 1986 hardback edition of Collin's.
I didn't think about American spellings initially, consequently after 5 attempts decided that was the only word it could be. The only time it's taken me 6!
Why do the English always seem to assume that *everything* should have English spellings?
It was developed by a young man in Brooklyn for him to play with his partner. So...the yanks already had it! ;)
