How many days elapsed from the closing ceremony of the first Athens olympics on 15th april 1896 until the opening ceremony of the second Athens olympics?

15th April 1896 to 30th april 1896 = 15 days
30th April 1896 - Dec 31st 1896 = 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30+ 31 = 245 days
Opening ceremony was Aug 13 2004
2004 = 31 + 29 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 12 (not including 13th Aug) = 225 days
Then there are 107 years * 365 days = 39055 days
and in those years there are 25 leap years (1900 is not a leap year but 2000 is)= 25days

Therefore
15 + 245 + 225 + 39055 + 25 = 39565
