This doesn’t fit into a four letter answer or make much sense matched to the link. Any ideas gratefully received.

Are your old eyes playing you up (or is there a misprint, maybe)?

Vega is the brightest star is in the Lyra (not Lara) constellation.

Ok ok it’s not Lara, but Kate has doubled up on clues ….7d is Vega, but 14d …same clue, 3 letters, is the answer we need so confusion is reigning yet again :(

The second clue is incorrect, the answer is gin which fits in with pink from Saturday’s crossword. The answer is also alluded to in another answer.
