Er thought that HAD to be the answer - certainly looked like it - but on investigation does not seem so likely. Perhaps you can enlighten us halfadaily but if this is the fifth test we are talking about both Giles and Bell played and they both play for Warwickshire?

Have you tried this question in 'Sport', suequiz? Might get more people who would know the answer to this (if halfadaily's answer is NOT right) in that section.

Think that the answer is Kent (Geraint Jones - wicketkeeper) from the team played one of the tests in Pakistan - hope this helps

It's the counties represented by the last England team (in the final test in the most recent series against Pakistan).
The missing player is Geraint Jones, and further to previous answers Strauss was back in England and Giles was injured.
