There is 5 different words which you Add A letter to each word  and the letters you added make up a new word

GUST

CURD

VEIL

DUET

SILL

There is clues given to each word but I can't read them in my press and journal

GUST+ O=gusto

CURD + E=cured

VEIL + s=veils

DUET + V=duvet

SILL + T= still

The added letters =anag of stove or votes

the clues given by cran275 aren't correct.

they should be: oust, curd, veil, diet, sill. Then add a letter to each word to answer the clue.  Each of these letters spell the answer.m
