GK Telegraph puzzlers will remember about the 15d in last week's name of Butterfly I said I was suspicious about this clue and indeed it was Butterflies with this weeks solution as Danaids. yet another mistake by this crossword composer.

Agree, pega, most frustrating for us aficionados. D.Tel. isn't getting many brownie points these days.
Shucks, I had an "a* on the end, so that was a complete waste of time....!!!!!!
This guy is not up to the usual compiler standard is he?Have sent a complaint toThe Telegraph
Absolutely agree - so frustrating when more and more of the clues have potentially more than one answer ! Heigh - ho, better luck this week !
I think I was the only one who suggested it was Danaids. Nobody else agreed, so I didn't bother to send it in!
I've already come across one in today's DT GK, which has 2 possible spellings according to my dictionary. Both fit without throwing out another answer , but it's still annoying.
Anybody e-mailed Michael rather than just complaining?
Hello Frankleigh - are you referring to 26 across, small woollly coated South african antelope ? True name rhebok, often given as reebok, but we simply can't decide which answer is actually required !!
Well done london lassy - you were right and I wasted my first class stamp

I have emailed the Telegraph to complain. What is infuriating is that presumably someone has one by putting in what was, according to the clue, the incorrect answer. One should not have to second guess the compiler.

With regard to rhebok or reebok, both answers should be accepted, though we shakk have to wait and see. My dictionary gives rhebok as the main spelling. Reebok merely references rhebok

I seem to remember that they used to print the answers in a mini-grid, and at least once had alternative letters in the same box. Don't know if they still allow for two correct answers.
