Originally dating from the 11th Century, where were severely burned WWII pilots rehabilitated after treatment by Sir Archibald McIndoe as members of the Guinea Pig Club?

I have never posted a question on here before but can't get to grips with the 11th Century bit fitting the answer I have and wondered if others were having the same problem?

Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

That's what I made it bhg481, but does the 11th Century bit therefore refer to East Grinstead as the hospital is obviously much younger?

Was it used as something else like a monastery in 11th century?
