Robson and Jerome I'm sure is good.

Ant and Dec, unfortunately, was one of the other answers I already had, so I doubt if that's correct even though it's a good idea.

I thought "D and J" might be Darby and Joan, but I don't think they were ever assigned surnames!

Any more suggestions welcome . . . please (desperate!!)

Note that "Little Ant and Dec" are two young boys who impersonate the adult "Ant and Dec", so the suggested answer may well be correct.

Also, it won't be Darby and Joan - man was John Darby, and his wife was Joan Darby
