Spices and all sorts of little bits of different plants are supposed to feed your gut biome with beneficial stuff. You don't have to eat 30 whole vegetables. Wheat, rice, other grains, salads, onions, potatoes, bread, beans, lentils, and so on. I eat lots of bits although I'm not a big eater. I don't keep a tally, but it's sensible to eat a varied diet.
Not that hard, it includes the starchy carbs like potatoes, rice, wheat, all the fruits, and veggies, yesterday I hit the following,
Wheat, peas, carrots, banana, green beans, tomatoes, sweetcorn, garlic, and lettuce fresh five and blueberries, so just by not eating the same thing every day you can easily clock up well over 30 in a week. Even things like red,and yellow peppers (each contain slightly different nutrient profiles so count separately). It's a lot easier than 5 a day.
It's included as part of the Noom programme which I am trying at the moment, and seems to be taking off elsewhere as a means of improving gut health. Only people that may struggle are those with very restricted diet either medically imposed, due to aversion issues ( picky kids) and those who are on very low incomes.
