According to the latest register of MPs’ interests, Starmer has accepted two hospitality tickets to watch Brighton and Hove Albion Vs Arsenal (each worth £125).  In both November and December, he accepted tickets & hospitality for two in the director’s box at Arsenal worth £1,000 {I think the designer glasses were only worth circa £600).

 

Why is this story not front page news on the Daily Mail, Express, Torygraph etc (save for the war in Ukraine, Gaza, the Sudan civil war, some nutcase in the White House issuing nonsense Executive Orders and threatening to invade Mexico, Canada and Greenland, a mass shooting in Sweden, the hottest January on record, yet another TV chef accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour etc).

Being PM must be a nightmare. He might as well enjoy the perks while he can. The job is not very well-paid.

Compared with what else is going on in the world, this is just small change.  Not a Starmer fan in any shape or form, but isn't he just following the lead of others before him?

Maybe, but he was critical of them for such things and that we were expecting things to be different, it's right that people call it out.

But I'm sure Hymie has his tongue in his cheek (Hymie's not Starmer's).
