So I click on the usual link and then I get 'Ummmm ... nothing found, (or words to that effect') try again.'

So I checked and the link when you click - https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk has become -

Https://https://theanswerbank.co.uk  so it doesn't work.  I've only got on here by finding an old email regarding an answer, clicking on it and working from there.

Any ideas, please?

I'm finding similar Jourdain .. when I click on CB, it comes up "this site can't be reached."

TTT  I don't quite understand that.  What do I drop?

I click on the official site and, like Hazlinny it won't connect and then I checked and the address has been altered somehow.

I'm lost!

I can't think of any reason why you should need to use Google (or any other search engine) to access AB! You should simply be typing the site's URL into your web browser's address bar.

Once you've done that once though, you can then bookmark the site for future reference.

at the end of your link it has the characters   they are a symbolic that has been left behind so that's throwing it off, cut that off or use this link:

https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/

I'm lost too just book mark the link and use that.

Odd. I use Brave on my phone but I typed theanswerbank.co.uk into Google and it opened straight away.

Thank you TTT, I'll write that down.  It's still a puzzle as to whythe official link does not work.

have you got it saved as a book mark? Edit that and check it's right then use that.

I can get on to Answerbank and find News, Body & Soul etc but cannot get on to CB - just says this site can't be reached.  Maybe if I shut down and log back in??

I've never heard of a book mark in computers, not sure how one does it.  I've always just gone onto outlook/google/whatever its called and typed in he answerbank , a link has arrived and I've clicked on it.  Now when I click ,the actual link it is trying to reach is different from the one I clicked on.  Honestly.

It's a function of the browser. What browser are you using? You may know it as favourites. It's a way of saving regularly used links so you can just click the.

This is what I see when I type AB's web address:

https://www.www.theanswerbank.co.uk/

...and then I'm stuck. Probably because there is an extra www. there. But I can't get rid of it!

use my link above then book mark it then use that. No need to use google just get a working bookmark/favourite.

Gawd how do you get on with all the sites you visit without saving the links as bookmarks?

Question Author

Yes, bookbinder, I get an extra htpps:// all of a sudden for the last few days.

you don't need google, I don't know what's happening there just use my link above and save it.

Question Author

TTT I don't visit many sites.

I'll try to do as you suggest, but have never seen anything sahing bookmark/favourites.

Anyway, have finally got Mr. J2 home from hospital and its bedtime now.  Thank you very much.  I'll have another look in the morning. :)

If you do use google then when it says "page not found"
you can also edit the link in the address bar to remove the extra www. and the   but as I said get it right then bookmark it.

22:59 what browser are you using?
