54-acres of unspoilt beach, popular with windsurfers, kitesurfers, sandlizards and birds: with sand dunes, saltmarshes, and close to a "haven of tidal creeks, channels, and mooring"... where is this beach??

Hi Valerieb1254! Thanks for your hints... Am still hunting in vain for Therehis - what country is it in, do you know? I've tried both Google and Yahoo, and both deny all knowledge of it!
just in case you're not leg-pulling aquilotta - I think valb did a little mistype, went to correct it and it shot thro' as an answer! On the plus side - think how many things you have learned while trying to find the elusive Therehis!!

Hi Dustybun! *sigh* no, I wasn't leg-pulling, and can't think what typo it might have been on "Therehis" - too many letters to be "Thebes" and can't think of anything else! (rolls eyes. Yep, I know. Useless, aren't I!) Anyhow, thanks for the tantalising tip about something-similar-to-Therehis existing!! :-)

Hi aquilotta.

Sorry if I confused you.Typing my answer I made a mistake, when I tried to correct it I pressed wrong button and it submitted. As you've guessed by now there is no such place as THERIS.Must admit it brought a smile to my face.

Having looked at Agnes Water... I can't find any reference to it actually being 54 acres large. HOWEVER, I think I've found Ye Beach that I was looking for. And contrary to all (and certainly to my own!) expectations, it isn't the other side of the continent at all, but here in the UK. Sussex, to be precise. Complete with sand lizards and a history of smugglers!
