I know they have now withheld the answers till the following week, after the recent reshuffle, but does anyone else find the cryptic clues are not as good as they were when the crossword was much bigger? I dont like it all now, and i used to love it.

I don't know about being good or bad, it is a different style so probably a different compiler. The crosswords were not big for long. Before that I remember them being small but hard - I seldom finished a Sunday one. I now find them easier, but not as easy as the weekday cryptics.

I bet you enjoyed the wonderful anagram in today's telegraph 'Lady Prescott'

I didn't finish!

Lady Prescott transported flying reptiles

Totally agree -- it used to be a fun challenge. Try the Enigmatic Variations instead. It takes some getting used to but once you do get into it it's enjoyable.
