Hi,

Could anyone help with the following please:

Who wrote: 'He dreamt he saw the Buffalant/ And the spottified Dromedaraffe/ The blue Camelotamus, lean and gaunt/ And the wild Tigeroceros calf'. Was it Lewis Carroll; Ogden Nash or Thomas Hood the younger? I'm presuming it's a spoof of Lewis Carroll as he wrote something like ' He thought he saw a buffalo' etc.

Thanks very much.

IT is from a story called From Nowhere to the North Pole - A Noah's Ark Aecological Narrative (1875) by Tom Hood. It appears in an anthology book called Alternative Alices published by the University Press of Kentucky

Thank you so much RosyRussell. This was the last one left in a quiz I'm doing. It will save me so much time as I've been ploughing through Ogden Nash poems and I would never have found it!
