1. take a nauticl word for the wind, expressing joy, and a type of slightly leavened Indian bread and stir
2. A beaked Galley, a goad and the ninth hour of the day in Roman and ecclesiastical reckoning are stirred.
3. To complain, to recover, a note, a satellite of Saturn all mixed together
I believe they are in the Kensington area
Hi Burgess3334 - Thanx for your info, still on the case but no luck yet. Not sure about 'NONES' - thought that was ninth day. Working on 'lX' for 9, if correct the X should stand out when searching through lists of London attractions (which I've tried without success!). For Q1, possibly 'lee' for 'wind', then 'jubilant' for 'expressing joy', looking distinctly like 'jubilee' something, but dreaming again . . .. Over to you guys (and gals!). ja
Burgess3334 - thanx for your previous message. Having probed a bit deeper into 'NONES' this has to be favourite - lX abandoned! Re 'DRAKE', can you elaborate? 'GALLEY' means ship or kitchen, so do we mean 'DRAKE'S SHIP' . . . ? (may need more letters).
Wendy - is it OK to continue with this thread under your banner?
Olivia - what have I done to deserve all this brain damage ?!
