You can work it out by drawing diagram (don't need curved line-make it a 'v' then just add the lengths and everything you know to your digram and you should get the answer. No need for triganometry (it dawned on me as I was making tea having not been able to find the right equation!) Sorry if I haven't explained it in the most straightforward way-I haven't got he question to work from!

Yes I agree as soon as i found a piece of string some sticks etc etc it was obvious to me too
