The only unique thing I know of Reading is that the squad number 13 is always allocated to 'the fans' on the programme etc.
Hats off to them for that!

I thought it was the first team to be in the Premiership (possibly even the first/top division) that begins with the letter 'R'.

If Reading were in 4th Division when the Premiership started, they will be the first team to have been promoted to the Premiership having passed through all the other divisions.The answer about the letter 'R' is too obvious.
