8d Body politic.
31 Cap in hand (as in Common Agricultural Policy)
22d Hot pants.
Hot pants (something in Hants - is the clue right??)
It's OK - PTO = "turn" then "up" gives OTP for Hot Pants!
Thanks Crofter - wow, nice succinct clueing!
Exactly how I got there, Crofter. Great minds, eh?

It's a pleasure to share the stage with QM! and QM2 -even if I'm only standing in the wings and responding to Quizmonkey's prompt "is the clue right?"

Quizmonster I've seen you solve some awesome clues in the past - and no doubt there'll be more in the future!

Come to think of it, to arrive at BODY POLITIC is no mean feat either!

Chap = BOD (service slang) then " I take off" (I LOP) into "town" (CITY) gives CITILOPY

Finally "up" = reverse leads to BOD + YPOLITIC

Well sorted Quizmonster!
