Daily Mail Teddy Bear Offer
9 Answers
Apologies in advance - this is not a puzzles item but may be of interest to Daily Mail readers. I finally received my 'free' teddy bear today after a wait of over 6 months. Not quite free - post and packing 3.30 and several phone calls to find out what the delay was. If you received one of these bears what did you think about it? Mine looks cheap and nasty, more like a dog, with two eyes set together in the middle of the face. Not even worth the 3.30 I think, and I would be ashamed to give it to my grand-daughter.

Mine did arrive (after several calls to the company) and I was so disappointed with it. Again it wasn't exactly free - 10 for postage & packing. The quality was nothing like I expected and it's still in the box. I've never sent away for any other "free" offers thro' the Mail after that.
I received my teddy a few weeks ago after telephone calls enquiring about where it had got to.
I thought the bear looked very odd too and as for giving it to a child I thought it was unsafe as the fur falls out when the bear is handled.I wouldn't give it to my dog either. That as you say was an expensive FREE gift.
I have since bought the two Queen Elizabeth roses which were dispatched by Thompson and Morgan, Guernsey, I planted them yesterday and they look very healthy. This was a much better 'free' bargain for 3.99 P&P.

I send for most of the DMail offers, and frequently had to chase up delivery (or non-delivery). Their Promotions Department is a joke. If you have a problem contact [email protected] she is a little gem and usually solves any problems quickly. I think she deserves a medal!
Thanks for all your responses - I think the charity shop will get the bear. I'm now wondering about the latest 'free' offer - the Queen's jewellery. Are we really going to get diamond and pearl earrings for 4.99? (assuming they arrive at all). I don't think it's worth all the hassle. Is anyone else going to send for the jewellery?
recieved the teddy several weeks ago - no problems with hair loss and is really soft and cuddly. Maybe there was a "good" batch and a "bad" batch.
I will not be sending for the jewellry as I think that replicas will always be disappointing.
The dinner service was OK though felt a little rough in texture. Just about worth the money.
