For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hi Topcat, had a look at my Sunday times, and the poet must be John Dryden. so we're in N'ptonshire is that what you have ? the queen Eleanor ? from the village which I know you would drive to the monument to Queen must be at Geddington ? its a lovely site, and a river is close by and this is visited as the only one preserved the other is at wooton N'pton, if its a battle in this area of Northants then the Battle of Naseby springs to mind, will study it more later is this the area your in ? if so I know it well,
