Much more likely to be Longhurst. A legendary commentator, who knew the power of saying as little as possible and letting the pictures do the talking for him. I doubt that Lineker will ever be known as the BBC's Voice of Golf. He doesn't commentate on it for starter's, merely anchors the coverage. Still, just my opinion. :)

Dead right shammy, do you remember his most unfortunate physical feature, teeth like a row of condemmed houses? He was an excellent commentator and knew his subject, however, and is still thought of with respect by many.
