Not a good time for the proof-reading section at the DT - no high-lighted clues in Monday's Herculis crossword and no clue for 21 down in today's general crossword.
Are they all off with heatstroke?

I've got the 'Final' so they must have spotted the error just in time. As you say another episode in a bad time at the DT !

since the advent of "new technology" in newspapers, there aren't proof-readers any more. they were among the first to get the chop. those who input the copy -- eg, journalists and advertising oiks -- now do the proof-reading, such as it is.
