46A measurement by the ell is ALNAGE but that doesn't quite fit your letters.
46A Meaurement by the ell is ALNAGE but that doesn't fit your letters.

Hi there, JRB - how're you going with it ?? I've managed the theme & got the 'extras' done, but I'm stuck on 25d too. Not sure what language it's in
How about "if all goes well"?

oh just too good - aging fast

whoops !! helps if I spell things right - I could at least get the name right sorry, ageing fast [think that's what I'm doing]

Are you doing this puzzle or just helping out ? Cos if you are, I'm also looking for 35d and 28d thanks in optimistic anticipation - S
46a - I found the spelling - AULNAGE - but have not found it spelt - ALLNAGE. Does anyone have any thoughts on this one???

think the 'aulnage' is derived from the French, but also
found 'all' though I think you're probably correct JimJools
Thanks seekeerz. Any thoughts on 28d - I have found Urediniospore - but this does not fit and seem to have come to a full stop now. Its my last one. I have
u?e?i?s?e?e - unless I have gone wrong somewhere.

I've still got 28d and 35d too, to find so still hunting. S
Ok I just found another spelling for 44a which makes my answer fit now. All done now.

Good one - so please tell me what you've got for 35d - is driving me nuts !!
35d Langrel

Thanks kayakamina - it wasn't in any of my dictionaries & google wasn't helping either
28d can also be "urediospore" which does fit -!

As for 46 a I think "aulnage" is the French version but I did find "allnage" as an alternative in a couple of English language dictionaries so I went with that.
46a The spellings accepted by Chambers are Alnage and Aulnage. So double L is out.
Yes I had that spelling too JRB, but it didn't fit because I had the wrong spelling for 44a. Once I had corrected that it fitted. Thanks.
