crossword mistakes!

i often correct my mistakes by using tipex when doing the express big monday, and send it off. does anyone think this matters?

I've asked this question in the past, and the general opinion seems to be that if you make neat corrections then it's o.k. However, I really don't like sending crosswords in with corrections on them, so now I always photocopy the grid first, and fill the copy in (and make all my mistakes on that!), and then transfer the answers neatly to the original grid.

I tend to think that if I was picking the winner, then I wouldn't give the prize to an untidy solution, covered with Tippex.

I fill mine in lightly first in pencil, then if everything is ok go over it in pen. Bit of a bind but only takes a few minutes.

I agree with Big Jenny, I always photocopy first, having
said that my mind runs a head of my pen and I have
therefore made the odd blunder and end up using tippex
I think if its done neatly you ARE in with a chance.
I thnik one deserves to be in after all the hard work(enjoyable) you put into it.

There is a pen you can buy with an eraser on the end that works perfectly. I forget the brand but you can get them in Rymans.
