P.S. I see from the posts that many of you are somewhat aggravated with these contest questions, and I can somewhat understand since this is a UK site. But we are not doing anything against the rules, and we apparently are not as smart as you guys! So please just bear with us. The contest is over in December.

It's nothing to do with being smart ..if people in the UK can Google and find these answers so can you.
Rules or not ..I refuse to support a big conglomerate like Marlboro and people who just want to win a million dollars any which way.
In fact it is only one way ...you want us to answer you ...but will you take any part in AB and contribute ...I don't think so.
Hopefully our esteemed editor will listen to reason and give you all a separate category for the duration of this contest and then we won't have the site and pages bunged up with these questions which are posted again and again and again.

First of all, the question I posted here has NOT been posted before now. I made every effort to make sure of that before I posted this so as not to duplicate anything or take up unneeded space. And yes, I know how to do searches, and have answered many of the contest questions on my own with no help. But many of these questions are worded in riddle form, and sometimes it just helps to have another person look at the question and maybe come up with another angle that I/we have not thought of. You act like we are committing a crime by asking for some ideas.

I agree there are many posts on here by many people that are not necessary, but please don't put me in that category.

This is why we are hoping our editor will give all you Marlboro people a separate category.
You are not comitting a crime..but most people on here are UK based and have no interest whatsoever in this contest.
Some of you post the same question over and over again in spite of one of our members guiding you in the right diection.
OK ..this is the first time I have seen this particular question...but believe me ...loads more will follow.We get cheesed off with it.It's not a UK based comp.
And ..I repeat ....AB is a commmunity ..we all help one another.Why should we answer these questions for people we will never see again once this competition is over .
Are you interested in in our national competitons and crosswords ..I doubt it. Are you going to help someone in our section on Home and Garden ..I doubt it .Are you going to advise someone on a recipe or contribute to our News section.Recommend a good book to someone?

I just don't get if people are not interested in the Marlboro contest then why click on a question that clearly states marlboro #40. If you don't agree with the contest don't click on the question. I thought the UK was a free country and the internet was for any one from any part of the world, and anyone could ask what ever they wanted on a community board. Well I guess I was wrong about that. If I had the answer to # 40 I would be glad to share information with you because I would be happy for anyone to win the money, not just myself.

Supposing, we, as Brits want to enter this contest ?
We can't ..simple as that ...unless we want to trek to the USA and get these booklets,DVD's whatever at an outlet there or however you come by them.So your information is useless to me.
My point is ..and can I get this through to you .....YOU ARE ALL BUNGING UP THE SITE WITH REPEATED QUESTIONS,it is annoying....in spite of being pointed to the search category .
Yes the internet is free for anyone to use ....and so is the search category on here ....USE IT !!

Shaney, are you really as DUMB as your posts appear to make you? For the 3rd time, the question I posted HAS NOT been asked on here before. I made sure of that before I posted a duplicate question. I am doing the best I can to comply with the rules of this site and be courteous. Get off your high horse and go aggravate someone who deserves it. I have as much right to ask questions on here as anyone, regardless of what country I am from, so take a hike! You obviously need a real life if you can't find anything better to crab about!!

What you have seen and admitted dearmont is that many are aggravated with these contest questions. Why, that being the case, and with over four months to the closing date that you yourself have given, could you not try a bit harder to find the answer before asking for help? There is not one doing this contest that needs to be asking questions of anybody just yet and it is the fact that many portions of the site have been needlessly overrun with these questions that are making people hot under the collar. This is not just applicable to you but with you being the one that has actually seen our aggravation, perhaps you should have been the first to have waited before posting questions that you may not have needed to come November?

It seems a sensible discussion is beyond your capabilities dearmont .I am with goldenfield all the way on this in spite of us having differences of opinion in the past.
But....you don't need to concern yourself with that.

My point is ...we do all the work ....you rake in the answers...they are repeated ad infinitum....you give no input to AB whatsoever....and disappear when you have what you want.We are overrun with these repeated questions pushing others off the page....Ok not yours, but many others ...
One way street is the way I look at it ...my fingernails are looking a bit scrubby ...do you think I should use almond oil or clip them short. I have hundreds of slugs in my garden ....do you have a remedy ?Can you tell me the answer to the DTGK ..4 down 10 across ?

1. Get fake fingernails, they are the greatest things around.

2. Have your garden concreted. That should get rid of anything nasty.

3. Clue me in on exactly what the puzzle question is and I will be happy to see if I can help find a solution.

I love my green and flowerful garden ,with green lawn with well stocked borders and only use natural slug remedies...concrete would be an abomination..thanks for your input though !

first of all this site tells you if the question has already been posted and possibly answered so you don't have to be anal. We here in the US are not anal about everyone wanting to move here because we do have the freedom to do what we want.
