I've completed Saturdays DT crossword, and now I have Monday's - if by chance I complete this, do I then send Monday's grid with the links and my details on a separate piece of paper, or do I send the two grids together - sorry to seem stupid, this is my first attempt!
Once you've made a note of the links from Saturday's GK crossword, send the crossword off to the address at the bottom of the grid.
Complete the Herculis crossword and link the Herculis shaded answers to the ones you've noted from Saturday's crossword.
You then send the completed answers with the Herculis grid to the address stated beside the Herculis grid.
I cut out the grid close to the edges and stick it with some pritt-stick on the back of a postcard. I write the answers on the top right hand corner and my address and phone number beneath. I then put the postcard in an envelope and post it off to them.
But if there are no shaded squares in one or other of the crosswords, which seems to happen quite often, you can still send in Saturday's. But don't send in Monday's because the competition will probably be cancelled.
Another failing by the Telegraph in my view. Why can't they print a space for name, address and linked clues. Would be so much easier and more civilised. Shall we start a campaign?
I think your both spot-on cheshunt and paulineward.
Something needs to be done to simplify the completion of the Herculis crossword.
If they can provide a space for the name and address on Saturday's crossword, they should be able to do the same with the Herculis, along with space for the linked solutions.
