12a Old horse cleared a jump, making partial comeback (4) - I have ?ADE and still can't make any sense of it.

15d Strike over course of events, manufacturing washing machine (9) - with the letters of which I'm confident I have ????WHEE?; with some potentially dodgy ones I have ?AS?WHEE?

15d As a course of events is a wheel then that is part of it.
