Basic unit of money in Thailand. I find it is BAHT 4 letters BUT the x word wants 5 letters Help please.

the correct answer, according to the question, IS baht. tical would have been the right answer 60-plus years ago but it certainly isn't now. this is a grossly misleading clue/answer and deserves a complaint.
Lots of other people managed to fathom it out. Why couldn't you?
The point is not whether or not people managed to fathom it out. The question implies the present unit of currency in Thailand (not Siam). I agree that this is just another example of sloppy work from M Mepham
The clue does imply now, not pre-1928. It is like having a clue which reads, "The basic unit of currency in England". The answer should be pound, but what if the answer in the crossword was groat.
