Cadbury's Creme Egg Race

Does anyone remember this competition from the late 1960's which involved solving a numer of clues in order to find the location of hidden golden eggs? I seem to recall that there were only about half a dozen prize eggs and they were buried in obscure places in the British isles. The clues were all in illustrated story form (similar to Kit Williams' Masquerade) but it was the pattern of the words rather than the story itself which gave the answers.

I remember it there was a book you got and I think you had to phone to get clues, must have been late 70's I know I drove for miles around Bedfordshire to track one of the clues it was fun how time flies, its the good old crosswords these days, but if there was another such hunt would be interesting but no longer in my salad days, did you take part in it ? wondered why you asked .

not only do I know about this race but my dad went mad when i was 2 and went off digging around britain in the hope of finding an egg..my mum eventually had to call the local doctor because my dad couldn't concentrate on anything else about the eggs! sounds funny and of course it is now and everyone is fine but i've got the book here and i can not figure out a single conundrum!
