Have finished todays cryptic without assistance for a change, but would welcome explanation in respect of two of the clues! I am happy that answers are correct but do like to fully understand clues.............
21a Gossip is malicious woman with internal difficulty (8)
........... answer " Chitchat ". ( but why malicious woman, is it (b)itch?
20d Noise by female ending in eating area (7)
........... answer " Dinette ". (i.e. noise = din, female ending = e) but from where have the letters tte come??
It's probably really obvious, but ...............??

Malicious woman = cat. Put hitch inside.
Ette is a female ending.
