Have received the answers today. I 've narrowly missed out again by changing my original idea of CUCUMBER to the ABs idea of MARJORAM! I wouldn't be without your advice though. Congratulations to the four winners. Are you AB s?
Do compers prefer this kind of story/ *** tongue - in cheek type of quiz?.I would prefer the type of quiz when, having spent time researching answers, I have a pretty good idea that they are correct!
I've no preference either way. It's nice to have the challenge of doing different types of quizzes - they say variety is the spice of life.
Personally, its the sense of achievement (sometimes frustratingly!) at finishing the quiz, the banter with fellow ABers and importantly the fact that I've helped a charity raise funds that counts.
Bad luck poodledoo ... I put marjoram aswell !!!
I personally like lots of different ones. I think the only time I don't like them is when I can't do them without help but that's not the setters fault !!! I do struggle with some but that is when I turn to you all and just lately I've had some brilliant help ! You know who you are !
I'm in the process of printing my next one for our local hospice so watch out for post of 'New Quiz Available' (I just know you will love this one poodledoo !!!) xx
I know what you mean poodledoo, but it does make a change from the usual general knowlege quiz. I put marjoram too (still can't understand how cucumber works in the sentence - must have my thick head on). I also put kaki (a Japanese fruit) instead of kiwi.
Look forward to getting your quiz, earthakitten. Hope it's easy :-)
