I notice you sometimes refer to the question number, but don't know where to find it - am I being thick or is my browser (firefox) being officious and hiding it.
With thanks.

Thanks to you both - perhaps I need spectacles or is it just the lateness of the hour!
Thank you Christiana for asking this question: I've often wondered about this. So far so good - following gen2's & mac's advice. What is the next step to being able to transfer that information onto the answer and provide a link as gen2 has done?
hi kettledrum,
You begin by highlighting the http address, then drop your "Edit" menu and click on "Copy". Finally you create the text and when you come to the approprate place, you site your flashing cursor and go to the "Edit" menu again, but this time click on "Paste" to drop the information, so www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puzzles/Question307646.html
Let's see what happens if I go for "Submit"
(fingers crossed)
If I had included "http://" It would have changed to red!
Right click on the link you would like to transfer, left click on copy, then in the answer box right click and left click on paste.
Wow! Thanks everyone!
Simply copy and paste it kettledrum.

And my thanks, too, for all the additional information.
Thanks gen2, but I think I'll try to get used to walking before I start trying to run or skip or do any other fancy footwork!
Christiana I have only just read your post of last night but see that fellow ABers have provided you with the answer you were seeking.
For what it is worth I use the same method as mac44 and cut and paste with a few right clicks.
Good luck K
Thanks everyone for the information. I had not realised that the question number appears at the top of the browser.I had noticed it at the bottom line briefly, when clicking on to a question.
However, there appears to be no possibility of entering the question number in the search box, which would help, if a note was made of the number, so that one could easily refer back to any previous question. Or is that too difficult to achieve?

I find the easiest way, if you have already provided an answer is to go to 'my profile' top right when you first access quizzes and puzzles. Scroll down for details of questions you have answered and click on the appropriate one.

Apologies, I meant top left!
Thank you, Christiana.
URGENT Your final LINK word has been matched with RAM instead of PAGE!
