A man asked the price of one in a shop and was told one would be �1.20 and 3 would be �2.40. he then paid �3.60 for 130. What was he buying ? P.S. I don't know the answer, it is a question.

i think he is buying house numbers
ie a house that is number 130 would involve buying three seperate numbers at �1.20 each therefore costing �3..60
Door numbers. �1.20 each. I think the 3 should be 13.
