I too am absolutely furious that the answers have been published on line before the closing date, because it takes away the kudos of having won by abilty to find the answers.Where is the satisfaction in entering the crossword, against people who may well have cheated? Is there aqnything that can be done to erase this website for the benefit of regular crossword puzzlers?

You don't have to look at the answers and they are useful to some people if they are really stuck. Be charitable!

I am in total agreement with Poodledoo's comment ref the preprinting of competition answers prior to closing date.This is nothing less than blatant cheating and should be BANNED.

Thank you for the answers. I cannot send the prize crossword anyway, because I get the Irish Mail on Sunday, and the prize for the crossword is 200 euro, it is also a completely different type of crossword. So sorry, I have annoyed johnjohn and poodledoo, but would love to know where they get their answers. I wish them both good luck and hope they win soon . It is a very good prize.

I won't win soon because I'm so cross that people are cheating that I refuse to do the crossword anymore. O.K., I don't have to look at the answers, its the knowledge that I'm competing against others who can, and will. I don't see how we can get enough interested people to see that its blatant cheating to get the website stopped.It is refreshing to know that John John and Snowyboy are in agreement, and that that this knowledge was made possible through AB.I used to get my answers from Google, and with a bit of help from my AB friends which is what a lot of people used to do. Yes it is a good prize, but to me it is worthless if the winner cheats. I would love to know if the compiler would ever consider our feelings! After all they have spoilt the crossword for us!
