I need answers to the following questions please. The answers are phrases or expressions in everyday use.
44) Caws and yaws(2,3,4,5)
23) The nightingale's song perhaps (7,2,3,4 )......I know whistle in the dark has been suggested, but I've never heard of that phrase.
52) Dastardly diurnal deed (8,7)
60)Copper making an arrest? How mean1 (5,8)
62) Cloudless in Skegness perhaps (3,5,2,5)
64) A good description of a digger (4,1,5,1,5)

23 I've heard the phrase whistle at the moon, when someone wants something that will always be out of their reach. That's also what a nightingale does, so I suggest that.

Thanks-Valerie b to the rescue again, and thank you to horselady and shaney star2 as well.It doesn't look as if anyone can help you with your puzzle monthly mag. so it must be yet another mistake on the compilers part.
