Can you think of celbrity with a manchester, north west connection which links these clues ?
-Sounds hollow
- wigan to oldham - bury to stockport
- royalty

Could it be FOSTER? Is there a Foster that fits the bill?

Fosse = a ditch (perhaps fits 'hollow' sound)
If you draw line W to O and B to S, it's more or less a letter T,
and finally ER = royalty.
